Mike was born in Houma, LA and served in the United States Air Force from 1996-2016. His military background included various roles in Supply Chain and Program Management. He retired as a Master Sergeant while assigned to the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) at Ft Bragg, North Carolina. 

Mike started his career as a member of the 51st Fighter Wing at Osan AB, Korea. During his military service, he deployed to Turkey to support Operation Northern Watch as part of the 39th Air Expeditionary Wing, to Iraq to support Operation Iraqi Freedom with Air Force Special Operations Command, and to Djibouti in support of JSOC. 

He joined the VFW in 2021 and is currently serving as Post 12218 Sr. Vice Commander, District 8 Adjutant, and Military Order of the Cootie Seam Squirrel for the Grand of Virginia Pup Tent 17. On the National Level, he is currently serving as Aide-de-Camp, 

He maintains his Bronze Legacy Life membership and resides in Haymarket with his wife and two adult children, who are currently attending college.  He joined the VFW to advocate for his fellow veterans and serve the local community.
