Tarah is a dedicated veteran who served seven years in the United States Air Force as a Supply Specialist (2S051) with the 66th Rescue Squadron and then at the 99th Communications Squadron as a Tech Controller Specialist (3C251) at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Her service included a deployment to Karshi-Khanabad (K2), Uzbekistan and FOB Kandahar with the 66th Expeditionary Rescue Squadron in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002, earning her eligibility for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). In 2023, she joined VFW Post 12218 and became a Life Member in 2024. As a cancer survivor and passionate advocate for the PACT Act, Tarah has voiced strong support for veterans exposed to toxic substances during her deployment at K2.

She is married to a fellow VFW member, Mike Jeffery, and is a proud mother of two adult children. Tarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, reflecting her commitment to both her professional and personal growth.
