Mike Peckham
2nd Year Trustee - Army
Mike is a combat veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and served 30 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel in 2018. He has commanded at multiple levels, served in Joint Units/Task Forces and has had international assignments at NATO, CENTCOM and EUCOM. After his military retirement in 2018, Mike joined Amyx initially as a Financial Subject Matter Expert on the JIEDDO contract supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in their Research and Development Directorate. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Task Lead, leading a diverse team of over 25 contractors providing financial, acquisition, operational, knowledge management, manpower and administrative expertise, where the team earned an Excellent CPARs Rating. In 2021, Mike was promoted to Deputy Program Manager, and subsequently, to Program Manager on the DTRA Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) contract where Amyx was recognized as the #1 contractor supporting Noblis and DTRA-CTR.
Mike graduated from the Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers through their ROTC program. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the Lally School of Management at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. He also completed a variety of technical and formal military schooling that is commensurate with his career assignments and rank.
